“If you are doing good, authentic work that helps someone or makes someone feel good, then you are contributing. This is the most important thing to me; doing good, giving back, making the world a better place. It doesn’t matter how you accomplish this.”

Publisher

Meet Tamara Wetherbee, the Publisher of Ocean View Living. A military spouse of over 25 years, she has 3 kids, ages 21, 18, and 16. She says, “In the early years my husband and I made a conscious choice that I would put my career on hold and stay home with our children due to the demands of his job. I have never once regretted that decision and have enjoyed a number of creative ventures, working for myself, while “staying at home.” She has a degree in English, always planned to be a professor, and ended up as a horse trainer with her own barn for 10 years, before falling for a guy in the military. She still loves horses and has stayed involved in the horse world, both through her youngest daughter being a rider and through judging local horse shows in Virginia. When hired by Best Version Media as part of an expansion team, to be the publisher of OVL, she had no idea if it would be a good fit.

Tamara says, “I love everything about this job! It combines storytelling, communication, organization, long term vision, and most of all PEOPLE! My favorite part of my job is all the incredible business owners and residents I get to know on a daily basis. OV is so rich in its abundance of great people, and I am truly blessed to be a part of that every day.”
